THE ESTABLISHMENT OF HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL SERVICE
The Hydrometeorological Service of Guyana was established on 5th October 1965, by way of a council of Ministers Directive 25/1/1, after consideration of a memorandum CP (65) 50th meeting. It was then designated the British Guiana Hydrometeorological Service under the Ministry of Works and Hydraulics. Today, it is a Department of the Ministry of Agriculture now it is located at 18 Brickdam, Stabroek, Georgetown.
