METEOROLOGICAL INFLUENCES:
PRESSURE: The pressure is predicted to fluctuate during the period.
WIND: Winds are expected to be Northeasterly to Southeasterly with speeds varying from 2 to 8 metres per second with gusts during showers.
WEATHER SYSTEMS: The weather during this period is expected to be dry.
RAINFALL: The rainfall is expected to be 10 to 15 mm during the period.
NOTE: (i) The peak value of 3.15 predicted to occur on the 28th September 2004, is 0.29m below the highest recorded value of 3.44m on 7th September, 1975.
(ii) All times quoted in the attached table refer to Guyana Standard Time.
(iii) Residents in low-lying coastal and tidal riverain areas are advised to take the necessary precautions against flooding due to high tides.
